This year, Paul Spong of Orcalab and Ben White of Animal Welfare Institute teamed up to write ECO, the daily summary and commentary sheet of the annual meeting of the International Whaling Commission (IWC).

This is a great and up-to-date resource on just what happened this year. The five sections reflect the evolution of the stories and events from day to day during the Plenary session, which as of this writing has just ended. If it seems that this is written for "insiders", it is; the writers expect the reader to have a passing familiarity with the politics and history of whaling. Even so, it contains much of interest to everyone. Highly recommended reading...
